Family Move

Last weekend my family moved to their new homes in Tenneessee. They started their drive on Thursday and arrived Friday afternoon. Fortunately they hired a moving company because there is "NO WAY" they would have been able to do it themselves. After watching these guys move all the furniture and boxes you REALLY appreciate what they do for a living. They must really like what they do or it must be really good money because we got our monies worth at my sisters apartment. They had to walk down two flights of stairs and then back up to flights of stairs with boxes and furniture on their back. I was impressed. As a chiropractor I was watching them carefully and at first I thought "what are they doing, that looks so barbaric" but they were right, transfering the load to the back prevents having to lean backwards and straining on the back.

Anyway, they are almost settled in. My dad already started his job at Home Depot and finds that the their are great and he fits right in. My sister on the other hand, received some difficult news. Her job called on Sunday and said they are closing the store she was hired to manange. I know, its unbelievable - they must have known something. Anyway, "move-on.com" is what I have to say about that. So she is working there right now, preparing for the close in June.
They both live about 40 minutes away from us right now. With the gas prices its a bit of a strain to see them more often. However, Chris and I don't plan on living in Colombia for more then an year if everything works out. That will cut 20 minutes off the time.
Here are some photos of Alexa. She is almost 7 months and wants to eat "big people" food. She nearly dumped a whole bowl of salad on her head the other day. She is not so interested in baby food or water from a bottle. She wants to drink water from an adult water bottle. She is such a joy. We are so blessed.
More later,
Love to all

Happy Mother's Day

I hope all you mommy's had a beautiful mother's day!
We had a nice day. At church the mommy's were celebrated with praise and a beautiful red rose. We took a photo for mother's day at the church and all the proceeds go to their India Mission. I was pretty excited about doing that. We get the photo this Sunday, so I will post our photo then. We had a nice lunch at a local restaurant and I had a very delicious piece of salmon a stuff baked potato and a Caesar salad. Why am I telling you all of this? well I was starving after I was done- YEKS! Thank goodness I'm still nursing (hee hee). Then I had the rare opportunity to take a little nap with the baby, The girls tip-toed around me trying to be quiet. It was really adorable. Daniella would say "hi mommy, happy mother's day" in a whisper.

I also had a great weekend at a Women's Conference at our church. The theme was "walking a new way" All of the women wore fancy high heeled shoes and they sat in sofa's on the stage like on Oprah. They called themselves "God's Top Models (like the show Top Model). They did a fabulous job. Each women gave their testimony on how God has changed them and how that change has allowed them to "walk a new way"

What I gleamed from the conference was not only the love I received from these gracious women but how my testimony of God's presence in my life can affect others too. Sharing our testimony with others, allows God to do his work in them. Wow!
Chris and I can testify that He has been with us through the whole expeience of moving and starting a new life in Nashville. He is now asking us to trust Him and show that we are Faithful.

Chiropractor in the making

Alexa is following in her mommy's footsteps. She took her baby and immediately found a subluxation (hee hee). She knows that proper alignment of the spine grows healthy children. You go girl!

Strawberry Fields Forever

We are having so much fun discovering all there is to do in our new area. We were invited to go strawberry picking on Tuesday and we had so much fun. Daniella was a "pro" picking only the really reds ones, while Isabella was busy eating all the really red ones. Alexa made an attempt to eat the whole bucket! Not yet, baby you are only 6 months. Later we played in the park and the Alexa took a nap on the blanket, it was a great day.
