What's the latest?

Chris had 10 students in his first class and another 10 signed up for next week. That's exciting. The word is getting around about "Spanky's" Chris is excited about getting back into the classroom and not so much about getting into the cars with the students. He spent 4 hours in the car yesterday for behind-the-wheel lessons. Fortunately, the teens did well and he didn't have to use the emergency brake petal (too much).

I have been working on getting my Tennessee license. It has been an ordeal. Initially, it appeared as though I was going to need an additional licensure to complete my application. Another physical therapy certification and that meant traveling to Georgia in the Fall to sit for a National Board Examination (Yeks). Fortunately, I'm covered in that area and my application is nearly complete.

I interviewed for a "practice relief doctor" position this week. This doctor is going on maternity leave in late September and is looking for a female chiropractor. We hit it off, and found that we have similar adjusting techniques and philosophy. We even talked about perhaps working there in the future as she is looking into cutting back her hours to spend more time with her children. I may work 1-2 days a week, we'll see how it works out when the girls are in school.

The girls and I have been busy these days going to "play groups", birthday parties and other fun stuff. They are already tan from the sun. So far the heat hasn't been a problem. It was 92 yesterday. Yahoo!

I am so excited for you and Chris. You are hanging in there and trusting God. It is such and amazing testimony! You guys are in our prayers each night. We miss you and your sweet little girlies...

I know how much you loved working with patients. Keeping your fingers in the business (pun intended) will be nice for you. You are such a blessing.
