Spanky's Driving Academy Open House

************************************************Spanky's Driving Academy is officially open for business! Chris received his license from the Tennessee Department of Safety last week and we had our Open House on Thursday, April 24th. The Open House was only for an hour and we got 10 people coming through and one mom paying in full for her teenage son. Last week was a great for exposure; the local newspaper ran our Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting photo and article on the front page. Chris attended a Chamber luncheon with over 100 people and had the opportunity to learn about our new business. We also past out over 100 flyer's to local businesses and Chris ran 30 sec. radio spots on a local Christian radio station during commute time. Today, Chris was interviewed for 5 minutes regarding the Driving School on the local radio station. They're going to bring him back in two weeks to talk about the book he wrote that came out last September. So I think we did a pretty good job of letting the public know we are here, now it's just a matter of time. Summer classes start in four weeks and the community is used to taking Drivers Ed during the summer so it will be a new think to them to know that we are here ANYTIME plus we'll be giving Traffic School classes to ticket offenders. And as (good) luck would have it, our mini-van broke down over the weekend so we were forced to drive the "Spanky-Mobile" to church and around town. This was a humbling experience-cramming three kids in a tiny car, but the kids loved it and it was great exposure. We're happy the that the minivan broke down in front of our house, but $550.00 later...yuck!

Here are some photo's of the driving academy and the "Spanky-mobile" as we call it. You may click on all of the our photos I blog on to enlarge them by the way.
